I have had a few request to repost my Tips! Enjoy :)

These are my personal Tips on how to use your Sunday Coupon Preview and Stay Organized :) Enjoy :)

Go to The Sunday Coupon Preview :) and Print it out. You will find all the Coupons that your insert has in Alphabetical Order. Simply Print it out and put in the front of your binder or clip it to the Insert. Not only will this help you stay organized. It’s wonderful for many reasons.

1. You know exactly what you have and can cross out as you use it. :)

2. I don’t always have time to cut them out, or get to them at a later point.!! Deals we post tell you what Insert it is so you will be able to grab that coupon quick!

3. You have a list of Coupons that are going to expire. I highlight the expiration date on that sheet you printed. Makes it very easy to pull expires.

4. When your in the store and you keep this list in your binder (even if you cut them and put in the sections) It makes it very easy to go down your list and say “ah ha” I have that coupon then grab out of your Binder :) I also cross out when I have used that coupon ( If i have multiple copies) I put how many of each coupon I have on that list..as I use I simply put a check mark!! Still organized :)

5. Your friend calls and wants a coupon. Instead of searching high and low through your binder. Go down your lists :) Your now a hero!! haha :)

6. You can also just print the list and keep your Inserts (whole) and still use the list to know what you have without going page to page to page. Time is $$.

I hope you have enjoyed the Tips…and Let me know if you have a Tip. Us working together makes life easier for all of us <3

Coupon Fraud Concern Addressed..

Disclaimer: This post may contain a link to an affiliate. See my disclosure policy for more information

Coupon Fraud question Addressed :)

As part of our quest to help you become the best couponer you can be. It is necessary to address a few questions :)

Another Cent Saved will be featuring your questions and storing them in our Couponing 101 file :)

Our Fan Karren Said this When asked “What questions or concerns do you have regarding Couponing?”   “Mine was just to remind everyone what fraudulent coupons are and how not to do it (for those who are just starting out and may not know as I’ve encountered 2 so far that think it’s ok to photocopy – nobody here b/c we know better haha)”

Karren is very right, We do know better but no one gives us a clear rule book when decide we want to be a “Couponer”. It is my hope that this will help address those concerns :)

Rules of Couponing !!

Never Do any of the following! Plain and simple its Coupon Fraud and hurts us all!!

• You may not ~Do anything to the coupon to modify it, or the way the manufacturer intended.

• You may not~Remove the expiration date, modify the bar code or the value of said coupon.

• You may not~Alter any codes in the manufactures printing program.

• You May NOT ~Scan or copying coupons. (This also means you are not to save a coupon) on your computer to print when you want.

• You May NOT~ Copy or save a coupon to file to alter the way manufacturer has intended the coupon to print. pdf .You can save to file PDF coupons and other document type coupons, but you may not save to file Bricks.com, Coupons.com, SmartSource.com or Red Plum Coupons or other coupons that have print limits via either the print software or wording. NOT EVER!!!

• PDF’s  A very gray area (If unsure Don’t save) but – Saving a PDF is OK, but saving and modifying a PDF coupon could be considered fraud. It is just Better to NEVER DO IT ..Then you have no problem :) I personally NEVER save any PDF’s. NOT even for a Rebate. Print when its available to print and be done :)

Examples of Misuse~~Also Coupon Fraud~ Do Not Do it~ Simple!! (NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAW ON THAT “SHOW”

• Using a coupon for other than what is written on the coupon.

• Using the coupon for another product that is not listed on the coupon.

• Purchasing a different size than what is listed on the coupon.

• Purchasing a different quantity than what is listed on the coupon.

• Purchasing less than the specified minimum dollar amount when using a coupon.

• Using the coupon after it has expired (unless your Military and then check your Commissary Rules!! ).

Using more than one manufacturer coupon on 1 product

• You may only use one manufacturer coupon per item that you buy.

• If you have a coupon for $1.00/2 Progressive Soups~ For example, you may use one coupon for every 2 cans of soup.

• Almost all coupons state 1 coupon per purchase. But its important to Read YOUR COUPONS..

  • The only way to use 2 coupons on one item is if you are using a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon and only if your store allows such practices.

Remember! Coupon fraud hurts everyone. It is Plain and Simple ~Do NOT do it !!! It’s also Illegal and carries hefty fines :)

Thank you to the CIC, Which Stands for the Coupon Information Center ~A great site to bookmark!! and to Hot Coupon World for their help in answering questions :)

How To Shop & Maximize Savings At Rite Aid~Great for our Beginner Couponers!!

Disclaimer: This post may contain a link to an affiliate. See my disclosure policy for more information

How To Maximize Savings At Rite Aid

Rite Aid is a great place to shop. Many people find it confusing and complicated, however, it is really quite simple once you learn!

rite_aid_logo_smaller

First Things First: I am not a professional writer!

When shopping at Rite Aid – most deals that we purchase are using a rebate in addition to using a manufacturer’s coupon. This is the simplest – straight across explanation. Makes sense, right? But there are a few rules, and explanations that follow.

When shopping at Rite Aid and purchasing items that you will get their Single Check Rebate (SCR) on, you will only be able to get 1 rebate per offer time period (typically 1 month). What this means is that you will not have the ability to “stock up” at one time in that shopping trip. However, we always get really awesome deals here – even if it is 1 pack of diapers, or 1 bottle of lotion, 1 toothpaste, 1 pain reliever, in that shopping trip etc. You will not be able to do much stockpiling for these items but its wonderful none the less.

Let Us Count The Ways …… That Is To Save At Rite Aid!

  1. Sale price
  2. Manufacturer’s coupons
  3. Single Check Rebates (SCR)
  4. Rite Aid Video Values
  5. In-Ad Rite Aid Coupons

Here is how to maximize those savings. Basically, the more options above that you can combine – the better savings. Here is our scale rating on a good deal at Rite Aid on just 1 product.

  1. Getting something on sale – Ok deal
  2. Getting something on sale and using a manufacturer’s coupon – Good Deal
  3. Getting something on sale, using a coupon and getting an UPS – Great Deal

We typically will combine 3 (or more) of the 5 options above to ensure a Great Deal every time!

How To Combine

Here is an example from the ad:

03l

On this page, they are showing a few examples at the bottom of products and then the rebate that would apply. Using the lotion on the bottom left as an example, you will purchase this product for $4.99 – this is your oop (out-of-pocket). You will then qualify to get a $4.00 SCR by mail, this makes your final cost .99.

To show an example now with combining sale, SCR, and manufacturer’s coupon, you can see the top right corner of the ad with the Huggies. In this example, they are even pointing you in the direction on of a manufacturer’s coupon. First, the diapers on sale for $9.99, then you qualify for the $3.00 SCR, finally, you can use a coupon for an additional $1.50 off – making your total on this product $5.49. Now, your oop on this product will be $8.49 (sale of $9.99 – instant savings from your $1.50 off coupon = $8.49).

So How Do I Get My SCR?

riteaidrebates

This is the part that we love about Rite Aid – their Single Check Rebate program is soooo easy to use!

You do not have to mail anything in (there is a mail-in form in the store as an alternative, but if possible – make it easy on yourself and go on-line)! Yea!!! It can all be done on-line. If it is the first time that you are going to redeem a rebate, you will need to register HERE. Create a log-in and then just make a habit of putting the information from your receipt into the Rite Aid website. They are going to ask you 4 easy questions about the trip – all of this information is found at the top of the receipt: Store #, Register #, Transaction # and Date. It will automatically find the receipt and calculate your upcoming rebates! It takes just a minute!

There is one catch – you can only request your check 1 time per month during each rebate period. Rite Aid will typically run each period about a month (verify the dates in your ads as it is not May 1st -May 31st. It is typically a 4 week period starting on a Sunday towards the end of one month and ending on a Saturday 4 weeks later). So, if you shop the first week of the new period and have racked up some rebates, go home and enter the information from your receipt and then request your check, you will no longer be qualified to receive any more rebates for the remaining 3 weeks of the rebate period. I make it habit to request our check towards the end of each month, then we have the opportunity to shop throughout the whole period and qualify for rebates all month long.

When you request your check – it will be 1 big check from all of the rebates combined throughout that rebate time period. This is much easier and more convenient then a bunch of little checks, which is why you can only request 1 check a month!

What Are Rite Aid Video Values?

Rite Aid Video Values is a program in which you watch different brand’s commercials – typically 30 seconds, then you can print off a coupon to use at Rite Aid on that product. Most are high value coupons! Also, each video that you watch – you also earn bonus points that go into a cue. Once you have earned so many points, then you can also print off an additional coupon for your total purchase at Rite Aid – for example, right now, when you earn 20 bonus points – you can print a coupon for $5 off your rite Aid $20 purchase! You can use this coupon in combination with all of the above ways to save!

You can sign-up for this HERE. You will have an account that will store all of your “earned coupons” and then you can print them – BE CAREFUL though because once you print one (1), it will disappear – so only use it when you are ready! The coupon typically expire the end of the next month. So you have a fair amount of time to use them. We check the ads, then go to the video library to see if any of the commercials coincide with sale items (to maximize savings) and watch 30 second commercials, print off the coupons and take them to Rite Aid to use them. While at the same time, building our bonus points for our Total Purchase Coupon which we will be able to use once enough points have built up!

Anyway, I hope this helps to clear confusion and to get you excited about saving TONS of money at Rite Aid. Again, the best way to learn is to DIVE IN!!

Please don’t hesitate to ask, That is what ACS is here for :) or you can email me at info@anothercentsaved.com

Fan Shopping Trip for her Church ..Thank you Mary

Disclaimer: This post may contain a link to an affiliate. See my disclosure policy for more information

Look at what our own Mary Mayberry got for her Church ~ Parkview. Check out how Mary did this :)

I wanted to show you my shopping trip for our Sunday School project. I shopped at Target today.

I took advantage of the $3 and $1.50 off coupons for the Huggies along with the $5 off coupon that was in the newspaper recently. I made 3 transactions for a total of $52.40. I get 5% off for using the Redcard credit card too. My best laid plans didnt work the way I wanted and I had to change my plan once at the store because they didnt have the smaller packs of Huggies. But, overall I still did well. My third transaction was the 4 boxes of cereals and the toilet paper which came to $10.01 and I used the $10 in gift cards from the Huggies transactions to pay only .01 out of pocket.

This month’s contribution to Parkview is 164 diapers, pack of wipes, 4 rolls of toilet paper and 4 boxes of cereal. The total out of pocket cost was $52.40 at Target.

Sometimes when we give back …it makes our lives Richer and I know my life is richer to Have Mary in it :)

Thank you For Sharing :)

If you would like to be featured …simple write up your transaction and send them to me at info@anothercentsaved.com …Celebrating each other success’s :)

Disclaimer: This post may contain a link to an affiliate. See my disclosure policy for more information

We have discussed this many times ..How some Walgreen’s stores sometimes give you a problem with stacking coupons!

For those of you that have been fortunate and not had this problem, It is still a good hint for you.

With the new season of “Extreme Couponing” It’s best to be prepared!

If you flip to the back page of this weeks (8/14-8/20) Walgreens ad, you should see an advertised  deal for Cottonelle  that looks like <

That deal is a crystal clear example of Walgreen’s Promoting Stacking using an Instant Walgreen’s Coupon and a Manufacturer Coupon.

Cut that out and put it in your binder !!..or keep that page of the ad stapled to the back of your Walgreen’s Corporate Coupon Policy.

It is great evidence in case you are told Walgreen’s does not allow Stacking.

Thank you to my friend at Hip 2 Save who put that information together and was kind enough to share with us :)
