My kids were bouncing off the walls with excitement for the month we took to plan our #DisneySide @Home Celebration. I think I heard, “I want a Mickey party, Mommy” at least 15 times a day. You can imagine how excited they were when the big day actually came!
We showed our #DisneySide by inviting some of our friends and neighbors over for an afternoon of food and fun.
Check out that six-foot sub! It was a turkey, roast beef, and ham packed sub of deliciousness!
We also had 3 types of chicken, a veggie tray, fruit salad and some munchies, including chocolate-covered pretzels in the shape of Mickey’s head, fruit snacks in different Disney shapes (Cars, Mickey & Minnie, Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., and princesses), and Cars and Princess shaped pretzels. And, we added some Disney-themed bottle labels to our water.
But my favorite food at the party? Cupcakes!! And of course we added Disney cupcake toppers to help show our #DisneySide!
We set up a craft table for the kids to make and decorate Planes and Monsters, Inc. boxes.
We thought the kids would love making these (we did), but they were too distracted with…
BOUNCE HOUSE!!! It was so super cold, but these kids are hardcore! (Side note: these are the only kids whose parents allowed us to show their pictures.)
And while the kiddos we burning off some of their energy outside, the adults were staying warm inside. We set some ambiance with Disney-etched candles! (I made them!)
I know the etchings are hard to see in this picture. I hope you can see the designs!
And for the finale, a Disney-packed goody table! Many thanks to Disney and HP for supplying some of the favors.
Any day you have a chance to spend time with friends and show your #DisneySide is a great day! The only thing better would be to actually spend a day at Disney! How do you show your #DisneySide?
